Hair Sticks seem to be a traditional Asian method for holding hair out of the way. Probably stemming from the use of chopsticks…  Anyway, hair sticks are now more of an accessory than anything else. Even though they don’t seem to be a super ‘in’ thing at the moment there are many occasions where hair sticks would be the perfect touch. Weddings, prom and other very formal events usually bring out most of the hair sticks we see, but why not look glamorous every day!

The Garnet and Sterling Silver hair stick above is one of the nicest looking sticks I have seen anywhere! The hammered sterling silver is just so rich and textured and is in perfect contrast with the deep red garnet stone accents. Simply beautiful!

Another beautiful example of hand-crafted silver hair sticks. Although the rose is nice, I think I prefer the daisy. It just seems like it would go flow much better..  maybe it’s just my imagination.

These aren’t my my personal style, but I could see how they could look great at a black tie event or a night out on the town wearing that new little black dress.

I remember a girl sitting in front of me in high school used to use a pencil every day to put her hair up, after flipping me in the face with it(I think she liked me, and wanted attention, lol). About half way through sophomore year she finally got some real hairsticks and stopped loosing her pencil in math class every day. Not to mention I only got hit by her hair once per class period.
