When you color treat your hair, you want to keep it looking like the day you got it done for weeks. To keep your hair color from fading, it just takes some simple steps to protect your hair and keep the color vibrant.
Here are a few tips to help you keep your hair color looking fresh:
1. Use a UV protector in your hair daily. The sun’s rays can make your hair color fade quickly.
2. When you shower, use a shampoo and conditioner designed to protect your hair color from fading.
3. Heat processes can also make your hair color fade faster. Using a product that protects your hair from the heat damage will keep your color fresh.
4. Chlorine can do strange things to hair color. It can make dark colors fade, blonde colors green, etc. To protect your colored hair from the chlorine, coat your hair in conditioner before you go swimming, and then shampoo and condition your hair quickly when you’re done swimming.
