Of course I would want a red one or the skull/crossbones patterned one and that’ll probably cost me a few bucks more. nbd. Check out the other color options in the pic below. Anyhow, it’s a good price for an all around solid flat iron with the functions you have to have (like a temperature gauge) and without the costly extras that you probably wouldn’t use anyway.

Ok, so there’s tourmaline, ceramic, ionic and all kinds of other types of technology involved with flat irons and hair straighteners… ever wonder what it all actually means? Here’s a short list of basic concepts for what you’re actually looking at when you look at hair straightener features:

Tourmaline:
This semi-precious stone is first crushed into a fine powder and infused into the ceramic plates of the flat iron. This plate generally creates longer lasting straight hair and a sleeker, shinier, frizz-free result. Tourmaline plates are also designed to keep your hair healthier and cause less heat damage. This has definitely become a salon professional favorite!
Ceramic:
